Dental epulis fissuratum (also known as epulis fissuratum or denture-induced fibrous hyperplasia) is a benign tissue growth in the oral mucosa. It’s caused by chronic irritation from poorly fitting dentures, appearing as a raised fold or ridge along the denture’s edge. It often requires surgical removal.
