Oligodontia

« Back to Glossary Index

Oligodontia is a rare genetic condition where there is a congenital absence of six or more teeth. This condition excludes wisdom teeth and can affect both the primary (baby) and permanent teeth. The missing teeth can result in noticeable gaps in the mouth. Consequently, it can impact chewing, speech, and the overall appearance of the teeth.
